Ankara University Observatory is an important institution that pioneered the development of astronomy in Turkey over the past 40 years. It has provided data to international scientific researches and kept its doors open to sky enthusiasts to enlighten the society about Astronomy. The observatory carries out the activities under the following 2 headings to inform public, institutions and organizations interested in Astronomy:

2) Special Events
All events are organized and conducted by professional astronomers and students of the Ankara University Astronomy and Space Sciences Department. You do not need to make an appointment for Public and Special events. Our observatory is open between the hours specified in the relevant day given at the “Events” section in the middle column of our homepage. For public and special events,
Adult: 10 TL
Student and Ankara University Administrative / Academic Staff: 5 TL
Ankara University Students: 3 TL
The dates of the Public and Special Events are announced in January of the relevant year. Public event starts in April and ends in October.
ATTENTION: Fees are collected at the entrance. You do not need to make an appointment beforehand for events.
